on a winning day to stir up the bee's nest so full of honey.
How many here think we will retest the March 9th lows of either Dow 6547 or S & P 676?
I think we will, and maybe by the end of the year.
Ultimately, you have to make the call. All the tea leaves on the poker table don't signify a thing if they don't take wing. I liquidated one trading account yesterday. Something felt wrong about a rally on the day GM declared BK. It's the end of the world as we know it, and everyone else is feeling fine. Not right. I need to check on the US mail archives. One more looney theory about tea leaves that signal the future:
This author's pseudo-autobiography:
Stop looking at her, Keith. Your wife will get jealous!
I am going to shift some monies from some of my other higher risk Janus funds to the money market account late tomorrow, especially if we are flat again. Those guys results over time replicate blindfolded dartboard chucking lab monkeys.
I like smart, powerful and self reliant women, and no, jealousy is never a factor because strong women are not insecure.
She is quite lovely, and I would like to post my own 50 things, but nobody would believe them.
I think next time I go into town, I'll go postal and find out how their volume is. LOL.
Actually, I believe FedEx is gauged by economists as an indicator also.
I thought of you when I was reading this last week:
"Ultimately you have to make the call." Billy Joel had a good line, mistakes are the only thing you can truly call your own. Got my 2nd wind. Whew!
I don't think we will test those lows. I do not see an event that would trigger such a fall, nor do i see the sentiment waning for a recovery. The recovery might take quite a while, but barring some event such as another war, i do not see those lows appearing again. IMHO
no chance, there's obviously a correction, consolidation (insert buzz word here) coming, bit not close to that low. Dow 7500 or S&P 750 would be greeted with far too many buyers to let it sink that low again. I would certainly be BUYING big time on a dip below 8,000, 850....I can still remember X at 18 and F at 1.50 and thinking I should load up there, but didn't. I wouldn't make that mistake again.
I'm only in dividend plays now with modest growth, don't want to chase right now, but I would welcome a dip that low for sure. I'll keep collecting my div's and buy some more growth or tech, which is overvalued here in my view.
Let's hope Heebs is dropping AMZN like a bad habit up here.
