    • I see them too. How cool is that. And look at the implied volatilities! Yummy :)

      • I wonder if these new TRIB options are going to fly. Part of the way options work is that it takes decent stock volume, lots of interest in arbitraging and hedge dynamics, and traders. If TRIB options continue to have ridiculous spreads (like .25, .50 cents, or so), they will not generate any interest. I am not going to pay up to buy, nor lose value as a seller of these derivatives. As well, 50% of this stock is institutional interest. So I wonder why someone chose TRIB to initiate options on, and I wonder how these MM's are going to make any money at it. Sure they'll pick up a few newbies buying options, but I don't think TRIB has the kinda juice that will attract the real mo-mo option crowd. Any thoughts?

      • Bids and asks are starting to appear, but spreads are real wide and there is no volume yet. I think it's going to take a few days for them to settle out and reflect truer pricing as interest spreads. Trinity Biotech, I believe, doesn't sponser, nor do they really have anything to do with equity options on their stock. I guess the OCC or individual market makers decide they'd like to make a market it in, and initiate requests/apprval cyle.
