    Good Call

Like I said from beginning, incorporating Zip into solution. Read between the lines folks......or don't . The shelf registration is for Avis but he can't say it.

    • The Avis idea to utilize its fleet to the max, is very smart. Equip all Zip cars with IDSY technology and they can be used in either channel. So what if they pay $5/month service. Having those $20K vehicles used more often is way more important. I hadn't realized the strategy. Sow 2 will most likely happen and IDSY will have more vehicles and probably more content, since some if the Zip stuff is overlapping.

      • that's not what Jagid said. He said Avis was looking at moving 30,000 cars around during the week and weekends. How do you guys read this stuff into what was clearly said? SOW #2 is out the door and they are scrambling to find another solution to shoe horn their solution into the new solution.

The secondary is not for Avis, it is for buying some other company (most likely Skybitz, IMO). He specifically said that

    • It was a pretty bad quarter, but they spoke about the conversations they've been having with Avis in much more detail than ever before. Avis wants the technology on their entire fleet and also on the Zip cars, they said. And Jagid promised to announce the deal "in advance of the expiration" of the non-compete in July. SOW 2 is definitely happening, and that outweighs the bad quarter.

      • Yeh, the only question is whether and how it's incorporated to the zip fleet. The rest of the fleet was never at risk because of Zip, regardless of all the b.s. said on this board. DB spins, flips, flops, and is clearly obsessed with taking Jagid down, which I certainly understand. I said from day 1 we'd get Avis and that call only further confirms it. Totally agree however that it was bad quarter and that mgmt is overpaid, absolutely. DB goes to extremes on everything, "worst call ever", that's just stupid. He just wants the stock to plummet so he can say he's right. and he may be for today, this week, this month, but so what. When Avis goes all in, the stock's going to $8 and in a hurry. So, let it go to $3 today, I could care less.
