Add two 2010 VLCC's to the list of ships managed by TNK.
I didn't realize that TNK was the lien holder on two 2010 VLCC's. Given the borrower's default, it looks like TNK now basically owns them. Not bad I guess. Otherwise report seems to be in line with expectations - which is good.
most likely they will sell them. prob later in the year. market is flooded right now with used VLCCs and newbuilds still coming. Be lucky to get 50 if u had to sell them now. They will sell them to fund the LR2 purchases - i was hoping for a little bit better of a quarter but all in can't complain. depreciation is still running high but the fleet is overvalued on the books anyway imho....
Most likely they will be sold. I did'nt hear the CC. Any info if they will be sold? Prices for 5 year old VLCC's are even now arround USD 55 mill. Source ship2shore.it.
But they might keep them as an Investment. After all the VLCC market is expected to come back in 2015 with no new ship orders untill 2015 or even 16.
