I have worked for one of the largest dialysis companies in the US for over 10 years. Hemo Dialysis treatments run between $300 and $600 per treatment and if the cartridges they are using as their Artificial Kidney is as expensive as the dialyzers used by other companies they stand to make off pretty well. Also, they are the only company that has a portable Hemo Dialysis machine. I bought a small amount of shares after speaking to a customer on a Nextage machine and they loved it. This stock will eventually hit the $40 per share mark like BAX and FMS have (When is anyones guess). Be patient, this company has a great product and ESRD is becoming more common. Home Dialysis is preferable to patients and more importantly to the federal government who pays for around 75% of treatments since most patients are on medicaid or medicare. The only issue they currently have is their distribution network. They are currently using couriers since they are so small and that is expensive.
NxStage, Lawrence, Mass., said DaVita paid $20 million, or $10 a share, for the stake and also purchased *ALL* of NxStage's System One portable hemodialysis equipment currently in use for $5 million. please provide a link for the 30% number. thanks and good luck.
