Newbie question - why is this stock up?

    Hi,

I am new to this stock. I am very impressed that this went up from $2 to $20 in the last 18 months. Can someone please explain me reasons/theories behind the stock price rise?

    Thanks

    • Hmmm?? Lets see?? Maybe more buyers than sellers?? Dont mean to be a wise-guy, but couldnt resist!! Lets just say, its in the right sector and with estimates of every 1 in 3 people having some sort of diabetes by 2050, the future looks bright for NXTM. That plus some big pharm has it on its buy-out list helps!!

      • last post was too kind. But then again, maybe folks in this forum need a refresher?

Each person has its reason for holding. I have two:

-EPS earnings are on an UPWARD trend. If they make the middle road on this round due Nov 4th, the stock is sound.

-I have a friend who works in these clinics and she says that in fact, newly diabetic folks are being turned AWAY since there are no time slots. The only choice is home care, which is where NXTM fits. And we're at like 5% adoption rate, so there is 95% upside to the citizens out there who will need machines. This on top of the fact that at home use of NXTM's machine makes people live longer and in 2011 the payout to NXTM is very very nice.

    • Great question. This stock is up because there are a select few people in this world who actually do a ton of research and analysis on stocks way before everyone else hears about them.
