surely the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Robotic surgery now dominates prostectomy and hystrectomy - if it was not superior to previous methods it would not have been so readi;y accepted.
I know that marketung men are very clever and persuasive - but they are not so good that they can con the world to this extent.
In Doc Breeden's case - it could just be that he is too old or incompeteent to adopt this method. My brother is a very successful othopedic surgeon - just retired - But he is totally incapable of using a laptop or smart phone - or any "new fangled technology" coulld be very similar to poor old Doc Breedon.
