I have lost over $75k on this stock. I short it, It goes up $93. I go long and it drops $85 #$%$. For now on I'm just going to do the opposite of what I feel my trade should be on this stock. Congrats on all the winners today. Sorry for all of us looooosers.Best of luck in the future all.
you have to tried win with this stock and unfortunately lost twice, try another stock from a different propesctive. i like ba, cpa, crzo, sne, tm. or better yet, play fantasy football.
If you can afford to hold I believe you will be made whole within the year...this sell off is overdone, and many money managers will use this as an opportunity to buy into what continues to be a growth story...at the very least I would hold and hope to cut my losses from where they are today
Hang-in there. In spite of all the testosterone on this board, no-one gets every investment decision right no matter how much dd & research they perform. The best investors with proven track records only get it right 60-70% of the time and anyone who claims to do better is either a liar or is temporarily lucky (but the odds will catch-up). As long as you do your research and adequately diversify, the occasional loss of capital becomes just an inevitable cost of investing which should be more than compensated by the winners. Losses do happen, but that doesn't make you a "loser".
Regarding ISRG, the earnings shortfall is a reason to re-evaluate the business and take an informed view regarding whether this is a systemic issue or just a temporary speed-bump. All companies have bad years occasionally and I personally don't see any reason to panic or despair at this point. I will be closely following their ER and CC, however, and will make a decision regarding whether to stay-in or get-out shortly after that. If the drop in earnings is caused by specific reasons that are temporary in nature, I'll probably hold or possibly buy more.
Hey fmrmlbcatcher ... you took a calculated risk ... losing 75K. Take a few days off ... pick self up ... stay in the game. We all make mistakes. Including Mr. noropthony, who apparently made money, yet is angrier than a terrorist praying to Allah & the 72 virgins.
