    My experience with Exparel

Anesthesiologist opinion here. Have seen exparel getting used more and more in hospitals and surgeons love it no pain for 3 days. Ortho, podiatry, and colon rectal swear by it. Not doing near as many nerve blocks with pain pumps like I used to do. One dose of exparel costs $275 and lasts 3 days, a 3 day pain pump costs $600 plus the anesthesia fee that I charge which can be as much as another $1000 in some cases. Im no financial expert or anything just reporting what I am seeing in the ORs
