couple of things...PWRD did indicate that they were considering having a yearly dividend, perhaps they do this once a year rather than quarterly...secondly if I recall correctly, there was a large short interest last yr before March 2012 earnings report so the dividend declaration caused a short squeeze that might have boosted the reaction after.
Since that dividend the short interest in PWRD has been rather low.
