its funny how news always follows chart

    News is always the "excuse."
Today we hear the markets drop because of China. China has been in the news for awhile now.
Or we hear the news after the insiders make their trades- either like TVIX or any other stock that moves big for no reason until something is made public.

By the time a retail investor hears the news, it's too late as Wall Street has acted on it long before.

    • That's why it's a rigged casino and that's why you should only ever hold for very short periods of time. As long as you don't hold overnight and have intraday stops in place and sell on close if nothing hits you will always be fine.

If they want the retail investors back in, they're going to have to clean up this mess, but I guess they would rather try to take money from whatever retail is still in and then the more "sophisticated" traders who don't have inside knowledge but can dodge landmines as long as there are weaker traders around. The problem is when you kill off all the weakest traders you find out nobody is left.
