In 2004 BSX had predicted that Advanced Bionics would reach $4 billion in sales by 2010. If you add up the sales from the piece that BSX has (neuromod, $245 million) and Al Mann (auditory, $117 million), that comes out to $362 million in 2008. I doubt that sales will grow by $3.6 billion in 2 years. Once again, Tobin's predictions were way off!
WHAT?!!...TOBIN?...WAY OFF?!...NO! Tell me it can't be so! That's Shocking! I'm stunned......really. You mean after all those big performance bucks he sucked out of bagholders that... that....that....he didn't know his head from his arse? Astonishing.
Again What is the potential growth for pain management. I agree going from 245 million to 4.0 billion in a year is unlikely unless something happens like say FDA approval of the technology!!!!!!!! Yeah maybe it happens in 2011 but the rumors that I am hearing this technology works and works well. Does anybody have any reasonable idea what this market may look like in a few years.
