What is going on with this stock?

    • Thanks for your input Mag. The only reason that I am hanging in there is besause of mangement. The MSI inhaler could be dramatic. I see some good size buying the last 2 days. Maybe some people are starting to get interested. IF the MSI gets approved this is a very cheap stock. Good luck

    • the sellers are the november'97 convertible debenture group who are coverting to equity. Apparently this concersion started
on or about feb. 15, 1998 as the volume charts confirm. What is important to keep in mind that the buyers of the stock are
establishing an extraordinary entry point. They must be as impressed as i am with shm's exceptionally talented new mgmt team. The sr.mgmt
team was an integral part of the success of bock pharmacal, one of the first established pharmaceutical development companies.
Bock was so succesful that sanofi sa aquired it at a premium in 8/96. Jones medical and dura would later emulate this business
strategy. Shm's chairman held a high post at fisons and the cfo was 3rd in line in finance at nyse deere and co. The mgmt and
technology are in place, next goal of mgmt is to fix balance sheet and move msi development forward. I believe that they will
succeed...and that the co. Is better off without these convertibles...there are better ways to finance the company.

    • Glad to hear from another SHM stockholder. Still lots of pressure on stock. Do you have any idea who is selling it so heavly. Thanks.

    • I have it from a good reliable source that tnis stock should pickup in the near future. Keep the faith!

    • Habu I hope youre right. New management seems to have a handle on what they have to do. I think low price of stock hurting some of their efforts. SHM can have 200 million in sales maybe more in the not too distant future yet stock is languishing. hope it turns around soon.

    • There are tired shareholders as well, we suspect. the new management and board is exponentially stronger in terms of their pharmaceutical record of achievement. Shareholders may expect mgmt to continue oulicensing early stage portfolio in 1998 while further developing MSI's respiratory drugs and other applications of delivery system. Apparently Siemans AG, the German conglomerate has a high level of confidance in SHM's ability to move respiratory drugs thru clinicals and regulatory process.

    • You may be right on Deb selling but I dont think so. That selling should have eased off, because they can only convert a certain percentage. I just hope its stockholders selling because of the change in management

    • Perhaps the conv. pref. shareholders continue to convert @ a dicount to the mkt...we believe new mgmt will move forward with the MSI technology as a platform delivery mgmt is exceptionally strong for a small cap [ ask the folks at jones medical hdqtr in st louis for their regard for the Bock team.]

    • the company has restructured operations, with a late stage pharmaceutical focus as opposed to an early stage "biotech" focus... management, formerly of bock pharmacal, is proven... centerpiece technology engineered by Siemans AG...stock price reflects arbitrage of conv. preferred shareholder...buyers accept balance sheet risk with confidance that management will structure next bridge in best interests of all shareholders...
