We were covered by Anthem of NH which has been acquired by Wellpoint. I have two written notices from Anthem (1 in Feb and 1 in March) stating that as long as I continue to pay the monthly premium, our coverage will continue. I paid our premium last month and the checks were cashed. I found out today that our coverage was cancelled when my wife tried to fill a prescription. No notice from Anthem. I called Anthem. At first, the rep said it was a computer glitch. Later, she confirmed that our coverage was cancelled. She acknowledged that they received our payment. She stated that a supervisor will contact us in "24 to 48 hours". I pointed out that 48 hours from today would be Saturday. "48 business hours", she replied.
I am dumbfounded by this company. The rep was not apologetic and acted like this was business as usual.
