    Latest on reps

imintoparts: imho all will soon be part of the big NAPA family. Just don't look for an increase in your allowance.... Great for the NAPA Jobber, eh galat?

    • vet: What do you think of the underhood and the electrical group changes? What I am hearing from store ownerships is that it's a good thing. Seems like APG is holding the reps to be more accountable.

      • galat: No matter how you try to spin the consolidation of Reps into GPC, I think it is bad for the NAPA Jobber because it is ending up with fewer sales people in the field, also Reps that cannot possibily be knowledgeable in all the lines. So,once again how is this good for the NAPA Jobber? I know the extra discount, well I wonder how much is being kept as profits by GPC. Someone else mentioned the large price discrepancy in certian #'s or product lines. Why doesn't GPC do something about this? I agree if a customer get's the impression they are being screwed by NAPA on one item I doubt they will be back again. It would seem that they would do price comparisons and find out where the problem areas are, as big as customer as NAPA is to its suppliers you would think this could be fixed.

      • agreed, they are being held accountable...latest is 2 and out intimidation formula...wonder if management is bound by same?...lotta replacements will be needed
