T-MOBILE TOUBLES vs AT&T UNITY (Not rated) 6 minutes ago Less than two weeks after AT&T unveiled it Unity bundled offering, which includes unlimited calls to both wireline AT&T customers and wireless Cingular subscribers, Verizon Wireless has unveiled a nearly identical offerings called Verizon Double Freedom, Verizon Triple Freedom and Verizon Ultimate Freedom.
Verizon Double Freedom. Customers have three options: Verizon's unlimited landline service coupled with high-speed Internet (up to 3 Mbps), with DirecTV service (billed through Verizon), or with an existing Verizon Wireless plan. Each two-service combination is priced from $64.99 to $74.99 a month, depending on service area and which combination is chosen.
Verizon Triple Freedom. Customers get Verizon's unlimited landline service coupled with high-speed Internet with a choice of either DirecTV service or an existing Verizon Wireless plan. Priced $94.99 to $104.99.
Verizon Ultimate Freedom. All four services priced from $134.99 to $144.99.
These bundled services are sure to prove popular with customers, so you have to wonder how a "landline-less" T-Mobile USA can compete with Unity and Freedom? For more on the Verizon Freedom bundle:

T-Mobile USA tops 25 million customers
Posted: 29-Jan-2007 [Source: T-Mobile USA]
[T-Mobile announces the addition of 3.4 million new customers last year helping them surpass the 25 million total customer mark.]
Bellevue, WA -- T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced fourth quarter and full year 2006 customer results.
"We're reaching both new and existing customers with breakthrough services like myFaves that truly help people stay connected with those who matter most in their lives," said Robert Dotson, President and Chief Executive Officer for T-Mobile USA, Inc. "In the quarter, we added more than 900,000 new customers including 783,000 new postpay customers. For the year, we added approximately 3.4 million new customers, helping T-Mobile to surpass the 25 million total customer mark. This performance, along with continued recognition by several independent studies including J.D. Power and Associates demonstrates that T-Mobile USA's front-line employees continue to get it right when it comes to connecting with and caring for our customers."
In the fourth quarter of 2006, T-Mobile USA added 901,000 net new customers compared to 802,000 in the third quarter of 2006 and 1.39 million in the fourth quarter of 2005. Net new postpay customer additions amounted to 783,000 in the fourth quarter of 2006, or 87% of total net customer additions, compared to 773,000 in the third quarter of 2006 and 911,000 in the fourth quarter of 2005. Postpay churn was 2.1% in the fourth quarter of 2006, down from 2.3% in the fourth quarter of 2005 and the third quarter of 2006. Blended churn, including both postpay and prepay customers, was 2.9% in the fourth quarter of 2006, the same as the fourth quarter of 2005 and down from 3.0% in the third quarter of 2006.
T-Mobile USA's data device offering was significantly strengthened during the year with the successful launch of the T-Mobile MDA and SDA in February, the Sidekick 3 in July, the BlackBerry Pearl in September, and the T-Mobile Dash in October. At the end of 2006, T-Mobile USA had almost 1.6 million postpay converged device users, consisting of BlackBerry and T-Mobile Sidekick users. This represents a net increase of almost 211,000 users in the fourth quarter 2006, compared to a net increase of 172,000 users in the third quarter 2006.
For the year ended December 31, 2006, T-Mobile USA added 3.4 million net new customers, compared to 4.4 million net new customers added in 2005. Net postpay customer additions in 2006 amounted to 2.8 million, 83% of the total customer additions in the year up from 70% in 2005. Postpay customers comprised 85% of T-Mobile USA's 25 million customer base at the end of 2006.
T-Mobile USA will release fourth quarter and full-year 2006 financial results on March 1, 2007.
institutions and big brokers are now selling their shares. as usual, this distribution is best done in a quiet, orderly manner. the big players do not want to start a panic among small retailers (that's you) so they bring the price down slowly. they will do this all the way until the 60s. the trends says that, as does history and the charts. sell now. better yet, sell now and short.
Things not so rosy ahead for RIMM (10 Ratings) 27-Jan-07 07:56 am
I've seen it a million times before.
A tech stock runs up on revenue only to fall once investors realize that earnings dont even come close to jive'ing with the sales volume or expectations.
Thats what has happened/is happening with RIMM now.
And before anyone jumps on the defensive bandwagon, understand that the earnings arent being cut into by manufacturing costs or shipping or warehousing or payroll or even lawsuits (although that could change as early as Q1 2007).
RIMM's earnings and guidance of same (which are lower than the street's forecasts) have been under pressure.
So here's where it gets worrisome::
Despite a monumental revenue number in Q3 2006, RIMM still MISSED its EPS number by a penny. Furthermore, RIMM's guidance forward is a penny below the high-end, and the 92 cents to 99 cents range is well below the $1 consensus per share the Street was looking for.
What this all suggests is RIMM's operating margins are under pressure. That's what happens when you shift your sales focus from corporate clients (where margins have a little more flexibility) to consumers, who are a lot more finicky when it comes to slapping down some plastic for a new cell phone.
Of course, RIMM's earnings guidance of .92-.99 was issued BEFORE AAPL announced the introduction of the IPhone.
Obviously, going forward, RIMM's business model and margins will be put under increasing pressure.
Lower earnings per share.
Perhaps a downward revision of its previous guidance?
All this leads up to one scenario:::
RIMM's over-valued share price taking a tumble down to more sustainable levels.
This is backed up fundementally.
Time to establish short positions.
Momentum alone should carry RIMM's share price down to 112 -115 in the near term.

There is no doubt your research is spot on. Rimm and Goldman Sach's are scamming the world in the belief that Rimm and its Blackberry / Pearl, or any other product they come out with...Might have a chance in the consumer market space, when Helen Keller could see they have no chance at all with their current products, applications and servicing format.
...SO, I agree with your research - However, the problem isn't these obvious issues, the problem is the scam itself!
Goldman has a huge interest in Rimm that at this point the probably regret - Nonetheless, they own it. And GS NEVER walks away a loser if they can help it, and help it, is what they've been doing. They will continue to ramp up the stock by overbiding. I see them do it daily. Bid is 124.50 ask is 123.99, screen goes green and the next bid runs across the screen @ $125.00 (block of 10K). They are bold and shameless about this activity. Until they are called for this crap, they can keep idiot longs interested regardless of Rimm's collapseing environment.
