    Microsoft in tablet trouble

    From MW Update:

Microsoft (MSFT) shed nearly 2% after Chief Executive Steve Ballmer told the French daily Le Parisien that the company's new Surface tablet was selling "modestly." Microsoft ranked as the top decliner on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) which lost 28 points.
Pacific Crest Securities analyst Brendan Barnicle also said in a Sunday note that Surface sales "are slowing a bit," citing "a downtick in demand."
Surface was widely-seen as Microsoft's bid to expand its presence in the mobile computing market.
Meanwhile, Research In Motion (RIMM) saw its shares add 1.5% after the mobile computing company announced a "launch event" for its new BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system on Jan. 30, 2013 .
In a statement, RIM said it will host the event in several countries and unveil details of two new BlackBerry smartphones.
