In January I will sell my blood to short RIMM

now, the pumpers can say all they want but the truth will happen in two months.

    • I agree, time will tell but you have to look at both sides, pros and cons. RIM has reduced overhead drastically in the last 8 months, they don't need to sell as many phones to generate positive EPS. I would not put a fork in them quite so quickly but it will take some great products to get them back to the high teens. If the device sucks, they will be out of business in the second half of 2013.

      Sentiment: Hold

    • you'r one whacked dude.

      • I actually youtubed their Demo on BB10; it looked confusing. Relying on different motions to activate "hub" and dehub. The general public is dumb; we don't want a device that takes two months to master. We don't want to get all bogged up on the direction we swipe is responsible opening and closing. It looks like they need years more to simplify it to public use. Even the demo guys are confused as to which didrections they should swipe to get to what they want.

    • I'm not pumping the stock but there is an outside chance that BB10 stabilizes the company. Consumers are funny, if the unit and software work well and a celebrity endorses it sales will take off. Besides the business community loves BB, if the unit works well they will do well.

enterprise marketshare has been slipping for some time now.

rimtards can fight against the BYOD concept from an IT infrastructure standpoint all they want, but the numbers don't lie.

      • Chance of success? Even if it meets the quality of Iphones or androids (which I higly doubt because both of those phones had 5 years of revisions and research), it still take years for customer base to build up again. On the other hand, if it is a mediocre phone like Lumia Nok, then it will crash to $4-5 range. If it is a really bad phone, then you are looking at $2/shr trading range (that's 500% down!!!).

I bet my own blood, house, and all savings that this will selloff in Mid January like there is no tomorrow because large institutional holders will not risk competing to sell at a few bucks/sh after BB10 release. THEY WILL SELL BEFORE THE NEWS. Now they are pumping before the news.
