I phones are circa 2007.apple failed to innovate and wil lbe crushed. first ever phone that allows you to peek at two programs same time. and all the patents wrapped up. prem watsa biggest shareholder means that indias\s burgeoning and ever growing middle class and business elites will generate over 20 m phones there alone. Rimm heading to 40 by may and new playbook for back to school. Bye bye apple, ,tim cook ur "cooked", apple users r the #$%$ of the earth, lets face it its a fisher price toy!!!!
It is amazing how many RIM investors don't use blackberries. Yet they cite loyalty to the brand as a catalyst for people to buy BB10. That and features on the playbook that blackberry users refused to buy.
I bought a Samsung rather than a BB when they were hot a few years ago, because it was lighter, smaller, and cheaper. I didn't realize it at the time that ligher would mean that there was nothing inside the case....so it always acted pretty cheaply. Now I think is the time to skip the pad and go for a good smartphone in Jan.
You mean stopped using blackberries...but you are right ...as I sit here typing away on my iPad ...and when I get off my #$%$ and hit the treadmill an IPod with skullkandy earbuds comes along for the ride. And I curse all week at my Galaxy S3 work phone which I hate typing on ...bottom line is ...nothing to do with loyalty when I switch back to Rimm next spring likely. I suspect others will take another look at Rimm products.
I hAve always been an apple fan but really impressed with the thought in the bb10. The iPhone really is an itoy while the bb10 is a device that will help people be more productive. Apple ha done nothing but site on their present OS. Bb10 shows the future an next step. The dragging of words into texts , the hub an flow - all will catch on. Some people are afraid of change and will stick with the iPhone. My mom who is 70 for example - but people who want to be productive and ahead of the curve will see this as a step forward.
Anyone want to buy an iPhone 4 s. mine will be for sale on january!
For you - good price!
Playbook uses the same operating system. People outside of Canada did not want it. RIm recognized that people hated it and reduced the price to $199. Even at this lower price people still don't want it. It too multitasks, has hub and swipe flow and still nobody wants it.
They don't know that they don't want it...Apple beat them to the market. Between Jobs and superior marketing Playbook didn't stand a chance ...the tech issues surrounding it didn't help either. BUT that might change going forward. ...as BB10 catches on more positive exposure to the PB tablet will possible kick in. When Verizon has skin in the game to help with Rimm products the landscape suddenly looks a whole lot greener for Rim
