    Research In Motion Limited (USA)(NASDAQ:RIMM) has launched an updated version of its business-software service, ahead of the scheduled roll-out of a new operating system next week.

    The product, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, enables companies to securely manage employees’ smartphones and tablets, whether BlackBerrys or smartphones from Apple or Samsung.

    Next week, RIM is launching its new operating system, BlackBerry 10, with two new BlackBerry smartphones.

    Though RIM has lost a sizeable chunk of its market share, it has retained customers in highly regulated industries like government, the financial sector and the legal sector. With the new service, RIM is hoping to hold on o those clients and also make the most of the Bring Your Own Device trend.

    RIM’s smartphone and tablet management system would help companies control security settings for phones that employees use.

    RIM is also launching an app store for businesses, called BlackBerry World for Work.
