Do NOT use STOP LOSSES for the next couple of days
with your RIMM stock. There will a bear raid for sure, with this many shares shorted. They can wipe all your shares off the board in 60 seconds.
For those of you unfamiliar with a bear raid, the hedge funds that decide they want to cover their short positions, instigate a quick large SELL "at Market" move. They make it big enough to catch the first batch of Stop Losses set, and that triggers a domino effect of automatic Sells that plummet the pps.
A moment later, they do a massive BUY "at Market" move and buy up all your shares.
You will be left with no shares, and they will have a huge purchase as a cheap price.
Within 5 minutes, the price will be back to what it was, and you will be scratching your head.

I have never used a stop loss in over 25 years of investing. When you buy shares of a good company like BBRY, you learn to ride out the lows because in the long run, the share price will catch up with the value of the company. If you don't sell when the price dips, then the shorts are in trouble because they can't cover.

i´m appalled at the stupidity of the current crop of bbry bagholders. it´s as if every basic rule of trading is being gleefully ignored, even with all the historical evidence available to everyone for no cost. you longs are your own worst enemies.

You would be FOOLISH if you did not use stop losses the last 3 days and watch your gain/profit vanish!

It went down $1.50. If there had been stop losses set at $14, and $13.50, and lower, it could have plunged the pps into single digits. Stop losses are terribly dangerous when used in situations like this. They only make it easier for shorts to drive the price right down.
