    Question for all the experts.....

I am long but don't complain every second it drops a percent or 2. Why do shorts go crazy for 1 point and longs act as if it's the end of the world. It's a stock it goes up and down. Finally does anyone have any insightful thoughts that are not a bash or a fabrication? If its a truth I'm willing to listen but for silly name calling and unintelligent remarks I can look at fb or cnbc for a while. Go luck to both sides and remember its just money and 1-2 percent at that.

    Sentiment: Hold

      Bulls Say
      • We believe wireless carriers are concerned about the emerging smartphone operating system duopoly between Apple and Android and are hoping that a third ecosystem such as BlackBerry's can emerge.
      • Despite the firm's recent struggles, its subscriber base has held up quite well, indicating strong loyalty to the platform and with certain niche customers.
      • BB remains a leader in wireless security, and we believe it still has an advantage over most other smartphone ecosystems.
      • Although it is still behind iOS and Android, BlackBerry appears to have received enough support from developers and corporations to build a decent app store and ecosystem around BB10 to date.
      Bears Say
      • BB's share has steadily declined as Apple, Samsung, and others have surpassed it in the smartphone market.
      • Given the development of robust ecosystems around iOS and Android, BB10 may be too little, too late for the firm.
      • BB's nonhardware revenue, such as software and services, is still closely tied to BlackBerry device sales, making the company unable to diversify away from declining hardware revenue.
      • BB's network operating centers and focus on an internally developed operating system put the firm at a cost disadvantage to Android-based handset makers, especially those in China.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Most people are gamblers here. There are just not enough data points to say things for sure. I have been holding it for over six months. Now I bet there is less than 50% chance it can go down 30% from here and more than 50% chance it can go up MORE than 50% from here in the not too distant future.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Are you asking the "experts" on this board...?
Better use a dart for a good insightful opinion..........
      You right "is just money"-GDLUCK

    • Some of the frequent posters here are either traders that go long and short the stock, and some of the frequent posters here are paid for clicks on the site...they want as many responses (clicks) as possible. You need to use the "ignore button" and communicate with posters who have real info that can help you (long or short) - it is few and fare between on this board. I am a buy and hold long on BBRY. I like the shares because I think BBRY IS a classic turnaround story that will likely remain a 3rd place niche player for years to come, but could start to challenge if they can get developers to produce the killer apps necessary to take major market share. Even as a 3rd place OS in terms of numbers of users - the company can earn from 3 to 6 bucks/share by 2016, which puts the stock between 30 and 70 depending on the multiple they get. GLTY

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
