When I go to any of the online retailers for either the Z10 or Q10 their popularity looks dismal. Even at AT&T the Z10 is buried several pages deep. To be more thorough I also went to a physical T-mobile store and an AT&T store and got negative feed back from the sales people. The Z10 wasn't even on display at AT&T and the Blackberry's at T-Mobile were on display in the least desirable back corner.
Hey you missed the point... they were all sold.. nothing left to even put it on display :-). My friend too much of one side is never good. The short-interest is so crazy.. it is just crazy.. may have made sense a year ago..but not now.. as many phones are lined up and BBRY is actively selling.. may not beat apple..but even if it bumps the market share by 2%.. that will be huge..considering the extremely low premium the stock is trading at presently...
not sure how wise that was, I am out here in Southern California and I went into two Verizon stores one in La Jolla and One in Orange County and both stores had customers that were actually Buying the phones. I asked someone who was looking at the phone why they were buying Q10 over an Iphone or Galaxy and it was because of the keyboard. Salesperson told me that the buyers of the phones are either current or former Blackberry users and that its a niche market, sales are brisk, not sold out but they are not dogs. As an investor I will take that niche market all day long... I'm going long on this stock too much opportunity in the market when you are offering the only competent smartphone keyboard, ignoring this opportunity is just Short sighted...l
I was in Orange county last week at BestBuy and ATT, there were a lot of customers looking at BB because of its keyboard. Now I am back in palm beach, FL, and was at BestBuy, ATT last weekend, nobody looking at BB. Evenone looking for I5. I phone users are gullible. Some people even said "I thought BB went out of business." ATT currently selling Iphone 4 for .99 with 2 yr contract and they put BB at the end of the store.
OC always crowded, might not be a good indicator to gauge sentiments. That place always packed. I love the diversity over there.
I trade BBRY purely on TA. Resistance at 15.70, then pullback and might be a sell off after earnings. Also I am preparing for summer swoon. Right now BBRY is the only one in my portfoliol
A friendly suggestion......open up Google Maps. Now, zoom out..way out. See all those other continents? Yes, they have people on them. Lots of people! More than the U.S. Yep. Really. Guess what,? all those people in those other countries buy alot of phones. Guess what else? They love Blackberry phones.
Now, get back to your homework Billy Bob. Start with your geography homework first.
This short squeeze is going to top Tesla's. The % on this is ridiculous...post earning it will hit $25 minimum. Blackberry will always have corporate loyalists...hence it will survive in a healthy 3rd position if it can always be 1st in security, 1st in integration, 1st in qwerty. Let's face the facts, I chuckle when I see a colleague writing a business email on an iphone or android. Only directors and up are allowed to have a blackberry where I work and we are one of the biggest businesses in NA.
