There is no way you can keep pushing out your accounts payable. Sooner or later you are going to have to pay and normalize your timeframe. It is now double what it was.
As well the cash burn should start indicating itself point blank next quarter already.
They actually had a chance to partner/sell leading up to the release of their new phones. That chance is now gone forever. No one will touch this. It would be much more straight forward and cheaper at an auction to put them in a position to BEG for a bid!
Really? You mean when the stock price was around 17 dollars (16.82 or so) would have been the best time to partner or be bought out? Who would want to buy their first shares at a price of what seemed like it was very close to the 52 week high of 18.32?
Not very many value minded investors. Maybe an all stock deal would have been better if your stock was at a 52 week high but you have toook at this from the viewpoint of the acquirer too.
IT'S SELLING FOR ALMOST A 50 PERCENT DISCOUNT TODAY.
Yes Corporate mentality is to buy at the top not the bottom to obtain more financing. No one wants to pay with cash. HP's purchase of Autonomy. When things are going good you must dupe the other party and get the biggest bang you can.
As well HP is now entering the smartphone market and with their marketing muscle and enthusiasm they will crush BBRY as well.
I would normally agree but a doubling of AP is a bit alarming and clearly a sign that thea are desperately trying to manage cash. Your inventory argument is a bit weak as that eats up cash and with these types of assets an inventory writedown is a risk as sales clearly point to a lack of demand. This stuff doesn't exactly gain value over time.
Nothing wrong with WES. He is rich. He makes the perfect trades day in and day out and tells the board about them after the fact. He is also a pumper or a basher. Depending on which direction the stock is heading. :)
You will see it play out right before your eyes my friend. RBC has changed there next quarter earnings to $1 lower!! That is not yearly that is in one quarter! When all is said and done and they have 20M business users and a few Z10 Q10 users with no reveneue this thing could barely fetch $2-$3.
Remember those patents for trackballs and pearls and wheels are worth $0. They have zero innovation and are about to finally start burning their cash. There is no return from that.
