    only an opportunity....

This company will begin to apply the best practices learned from Sirius and XM to improve subscriber retention and overall sales volume. They are the only game in town for now and have quality programming partners.... The upside potential is huge. Downside risk is now reduced by this sell-off. If you believe in satellite radio (you should), it is time to buy this now and simply forget you own it for a while until WRSP fixes the obvious issues in their business model. These issues will be addressed as the first order of business so they can get back the coverage of the stock....

    • If they learn from Sirius and XM, you will be in for some unpleasant experiences, because, both Sirius and XM are cash burners.
Sattelite radio may work in the US, but will not work in developing countries, where personal income is so low. People there have to stay in line at internet cafes or public libraries to get on the internet. There, you own a cell phone, you can make money renting it out to friends or relatives or neighbors on "per use" basis. Where do they find the money for pay radio?

      • Agree in part. The target audience will clearly be the small % of affluent consumers. That small % of people in that region of the world is a market opportunity of similar size to the US opportunity. Agree with you on the burning cash issue, but once they "tune" the model on volume/distribution and retention strategies, they will gain the traction they need. This of course ignores the possible competition satellite radio has in store for iTunes, etc., as Tivo-like technology will make them a fierce competitor on the sale of music. All in all, well worth speculating. Particularly at this price.
