    Unable to keep top talent?

This company sure is bleeding good people. i have not seen so many established leaders leave a company of this size over a short period of time. they can't seem to hold on to them. The C level guys have been there forever, the working environment is good, although authoritarian with so many ex-military types? What's the scoop? are there fears about the viability of credit card usage a we enter a 2nd recession?

      • Tsys, has always been known for credit card processing. It does however have a darker side to it. There should be an legitimate look into it's treatment of employees on the job. Also, there should be an look of federal employment guidelines as well. Referring to the talent pool. Tsys has selected a few and grooms them for sucession. They have those people already in place and are basically waiting for the old timers to leave, so they can take over the reins. They base this on time served with the company. Although not a bad idea, it does not allow for a fresh view, more dynamic look at their business and where it is going. There leadship all came from the same schools of finance(ceo, presiddent, board of director(i think)). The Chief Information Officer developed TS2 for the company when TS1 faded. They are application oriented and are good at it. There use of emerging technology and how to implement it is a slow political battle, which puts them behind the eight ball sometimes when a customer asks for something, they scramble rather than be ready for the demand when it arrives. They talk like they know technology, but frankly(not all, but some of) the staff there are just pulling down a paycheck and really don't care about making something cheaper or better. They know if they keep quiet and keep there heads down, nothing will happen. Tsys isn't in the business of making electronic payments, better or quicker, they just go with the organic growth. Now occasionally, Tsys lands a deal and that makes headlines. There PR machine is very good, very very good as a matter of fact, but when you get down to it, Tsys is a slow company that is inflexible to change and that is intended to be that way. Technically, there are companies much more robust than Tsys is in getting the job done and are ready for their customer when they need them. Not to say Tsys is bad, it isn't bad, it is slow and again this is the Tsys philosophy. Any new ideas, if not proposed by the right people will be rejected. That is the way TSYS works. It has got to come through a particular group of groomed people. That is probably why TSYS cannot keep Top Talent, because there ideas and views aren't accepted by the groomed and old timers and since they have no voice, they move on. Tsys talks dynamics and leading technology..etc.. truth is they are closed minded and extremely inflexible with there view and there veiw is the only way. Tsys isn't a bad company at all. It is an old thinking company, that cannot take new and sometimes better views of there business form new Top Talent because "they have been with the company long enough". If there top talent isn't gonna be heard, it moves on. Some of there top employees were taken from them by there customers. On a more positive note: There are people at Tsys that absolutely know what they are doing and do it very very well. Some of there talent is World Class and the best in the business and yes, they have evolved through the TSYS ranks, but it is outside talent that TSYS lacks, or when TSYS hires a great hire with some ideas, those ideas get ignored and they move on. That is business. That is Tsys's business. TSYS is an outstanding company, however, it is more hype than fact This is my opinion
