mpanning I agree this stock does have a mind -boggling potential. I've held it now for several years. It fell 99.5% from it's high. A great thing going forward is rising interest rates. That should help put the bank back in the black. When we return to normal profits this will be a mult-bagger. Are you aware of Wilbur Ross and Prema Watsa's holding and postions on the board of directors?
Ive been in and out since early 2009...when pre-split had it at about $170...it was down a good 90% from its high and i thought it seemed like a bargain. I did the same stoopid #$%$ with Allied Irish...what a disaster. I lost pretty much all my money because i kept "averaging down" and the price just kept dropping.
I was even pretty deep into Anglo Irish bank...actually made some money from that one due to short covering....not enough t make it worth doing though.
With the Irish economy being what it is...its genuinely a gamble. Good luck.
