Thankfully! I'd have to be very lucky to have both my tanker stocks (nat and tnk) survive, but it's looking better as suez rates improve while VLCC struggle. If FRO were to go bankrupt would that increase profits for NAT and TNK simply by having less ships available or would other companies attempt to buy (at cheap rates) FRO's vessels or would FRO attempt to stay under bankruptcy protection and try to get back on it's feet? I'm asking because I honestly don't know and am trying to learn.
not likely, even during a bankruptcy ships would continue to operate. and if went completly under, ships are mostly owned by ship finance international. they would be redelivered and deployed to another fredriksen company.
