I own EEQ in accounts at Schwab and at E*trade. When EEQ pays a stock dividend Schwab credits my account with both the whole and the fractional shares. E*trade only credits my account with the whole shares. What experience do people on this board have at other firms?
"When we pay the EEQ distribution, it is paid to six decimal points. So to answer your question, we do pay in fractional shares not cash. If you are receiving cash for your fractional shares, it is the brokerage firm that has chosen to do so."
So if your brokerage firm is not giving you cash, they should be paying you the cash value of those fractional shares.
