    question for shorts

did any of you shorts ever think that maybe the scenario will play out as follows.

krispy kreme will report their financial which we all know will not be good but at the same time will also anounce the changes they have made to their business plan ie: new products doughnut holes low calorie drinks new flavored drinks, apple fritters, different lattes etc plus an emphasis on smaller locations in high traffic areas as opposed to stand alones. And a marketing campaign

All i have heard from the shorts is that in the past krispy kreme was poorly managed with one product in bad locations with high expenses. I'm tired of hearing about the past.

Since cooper has arrived we have new management which have introduced new products, we have krispy kreme locations opening in high traffic areas, airports, malls, we have cost saving measures, we have a new board of directors.

If you shorted two or three years ago you were definitely right management was incompetent but, i see no reason to short now.

And i believe that when the financial do come out they will come out with the new business plan and projections for the future.

    • Wasn't the least offended, Arb.

Called you an ass based on your earlier postings on this board and in particular about your debate on the definition of Arbitrage in which I had no part. Called you an ass before I even read you response my lengthy post. As just posted, it is not worthy of a response.

      Ciao

    • <<<<< You are in rare form again today, Arb. Even arguing with dictionary definitions. I don't intend to get involved in a pointless debate with you who uses hutzpah for logic. Just know that whether you are a prankster with no real interest in this stock or an idiot investor losing his shirt, you are a total ass in my book. >>>>

I'm just telling it like it is. Sorry if you are offended.

As my posts show, I am not big on calling names but with you I have to make an exception.

    • <<<<< Too funny. Now you put your definitions ahead of a dictionary's definition.

You are missing the key part. Arbitrage is near instantaneous profits. Clearly you haven't made any have you? >>>>

      Roaming Dog,

You are embarassing yourself, without your knowledge of doing so.

Go read some books about arbitrage.

That just proves that he more accurately meets my definition (an overconfident *sswipe with a brokerage account).

    • >>Buying and selling a security and making a sure profit due to mispricing in the market.<<

By that definitiion every overconfident *sswipe with a brokerage account is an arbitrageur...

      I hardly think so.

    • <<<< Not really Arb. Hope you see the distinction.

Your statement betrays your lack of knowledge and experience in the arbitrage arena.

The strict use of the word arbitrage has many definitions. You have only cited one definition.

My arbitrage definition sums up all of the various definitions, and also describes the arbitrage situations that I have been so successful in.

I will state it again, my definition of arbitrage: Buying and selling a security and making a sure profit due to mispricing in the market.

Buying KKD at these prices is an arbitrage situation.
