Green Mountain Coffee founder bets big on doughnuts
I wouldn't want to be caught short on KKD not with this guy buying. Anyday this thing could pop 30-40%. This guy sent get rich enough to buy $50 million worth of krispy kreme by dumb luck. He understands a good opportunity when he sees it.
In addition, Robert Stiller, founder and chairman of fast-growing Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR), doubled his stake in Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. (KKD).
Stiller reported Aug. 5 that he owned 7.3 million Krispy Kreme shares, or 10.8% of the doughnut chain. He first disclosed buying Krispy Kreme shares this past January. For the year to date, Krispy Kreme's stock is up 13%, compared with a 6% loss for the S&P 500 Index.
