I'm just venting right now. I am completely perplexed why someone would buy this stock. It's toting around the multiples of some high-flying tech stock, but its growth is pathetic. Their product is lousy. The press is bad. Their management is just trying to hold on. I walk buy a rack of them in a local cafe all the time... they just sit there. I assume they get thrown away at the end of the day.
So... why would someone risk their hard-earned money on THIS as opposed to... hell, anything else? Get some GILD. It's selling at a discount and makes tons of money. Get some AAPL. They have all the cash. Hell, buy a mutual fund. Even putting it under your mattress seems more financially responsible.
Why, did you make a foolish bet? Luckily for them sugar, like caffeine (the other thing they peddle) is physically addictive. Their earnings are fine, even if they don't deserve the high stock price. The number one seller of coffee in this country is donut shops, so don't roll your eyes at the product. Also, I've lived in the south, and they tear these donuts up. They have an established product and a dedicated fan base. Full disclosure, I bought in around 16.20 and will sell when it goes up, like it always does, shortly after overreactive less than perfect earning reports.
