    You can short odd lots!

I have. It just takes a long time to execute. I would not see a reason why not. I never heard that you could not. Settle down, your money will be in the hands of us shorts soon.

    • Personally, I like the sector but you'd have more
luck selling porn to nuns than making money here. I do
hold a few as long term plays (JBX, SONC, WEN, YUM,
DRI) for when the sector comes back, but I am under no
      illuision it will be soon.

      As for PZZI's yield, I
learned the hard way not to chase dividends. First off,
its only good because the stock price collapsed,
second it has never been increased and the prospect of
it doing so with the buyback is zero, and lastly the
stock has been dead money since it went public and in a
crowded sector with excellent operators, the upside is
unfathomable. Also, when I saw what the executives make and
their effective control of the BOD, good luck. The top
two guys made a total of $2 million, for a company
with $40M is sales and $2.96M in profit that is theft,
pure and simple. The self-dealing is almost as bad as
KREM's. Look what the guys at Sonic make (SONC), and look
at the stock performance. Who would you rather bet
      on?

As for EAT, I like DRI better, purely because of the
concepts and focus. EAT has a dozen things they are trying
to do, Darden two. Who do you think has the best
chance of pulling it off, the jack of all trades and the
master of none? There's much more economy of scale in
Red Lobster and Olive Garden than 15 of these, 25 of
those, a hundred or so of another, etc.

    • note the dividend yeild on PZZI, and stock buyback. Brinker seems solid. Burger King would be a great short if it was public. Generally an unappreciated sector except for this donut marvel

    • Actually, it looks like dog_catch_her already
gave away his money when he bought at 40+.

      I'll
bet that person that sold him the shares wasn't
      covering a long position.

      That explains the
      hostility

      See you at $22

    • I have shorted odd lots before, most recent Yahoo
when it was 300 and change. I did 50 shares, took
almost no time to clear. But with KREM, I want to short
a WHOLE LOT MORE SO I CAN GET RICH OFF THE IDIOTS
WHO THINK THIS IS A HALF-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY!!!
      HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
