What if the board agrees to the offer and Riggio, Burkle &Aletheia support the deal

all good points. Liberty will buy at there current offer. It's a question of weather the board and shareholders want to sell at the price. It's very clear if they say no the price will drop big time if Liberty leaves.

    • This is a slippery slope. Take note of the Borders story for example. Greed has taken all concerned to huge losses over what they could have settled for. Of course, the common was doomed from the get go with the huge negative value of the company.

The point being, greed has taken folks past the 20 dollar sale opportunity and greed may take them past the 17 dollar sale opportunity and put them on the threshold of an 8 dollar pps. Jacking arouund may result in the 17 dollar offer being pulled.
