DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Ê NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Brazilian state-run energy company Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PBR, PETR4.BR), or Petrobras, is set to gain a more prominent position in key stock indexes provided by MSCI Inc. (MSCI) after the company's mammoth share offer. Ê The company's total weight in the MSCI Brazil index is set to rise to approximately 21% from its current 16% weighting, according to figures provided by a MSCI spokesman. Ê Petrobras will also rise from 11% to 14.5% of the MSCI Latin America index. Ê The changes are effective Sept. 30. Ê Last week, Petrobras raised approximately $67 billion through the sale of about 4.08 billion voting and preferred shares in the largest equity offering ever. The money will go toward the company's $224 billion five-year expansion plan, which will include production for pre-salt oil fields.
