I agree Jaque, your strategy is exellent , cash is better , but after going to cash and the market continues up then i start thinking short, it is very speculative i agree . Maybe i will follow your advice and sell one or two more " core " positions before ..
Yep it's a hard one. I know the market has made a 100% move since the March 09 lows and all that but I tend to be in the camp that believes that equities are really the only safe camp to be in during inflationary times. I'm just a terrible market timer. It's hard to know if the old rules of "sell in May and go away" will always work. Last year it was in April......now we had this little March correction.....who knows. Seems like the market is adapting as time goes on....who knows. I just know I'd be scared to try and short the market. Just my opinion.
