GOOG will beat AAPL to 1000

I agree, they need to monetize better. Everyone has said it....they know it as well. Many have said it's a time thing.....give it more time and they will make more off the products. Hell, they've created a massive infrastructure, it's just a matter of time. Google wallet.....

    • OK, Jaq, I will take the bet: All the Beer and BBQ you can consume in one sitting....

I say AAPL reaches $1000 before GOOG (split adjusted and you can use the voting shares).

The GOOG split is shareholder un-friendly and being done, explicitly, to consolidate control by the 3 principal holders. I think they are anticipating a period of reduced profitability as they continue to spend on new initiatives, and they want to run GOOG like a private company - no guff from unhappy minor holders.

AAPL, in contrast, has agreed to a divvy to make shareholders happy. They are in the midst of achieving one of the greatest business successes of all time, with exceptional fundamental momentum (sales and profit growth)set to continue for at least several more Qs. I am glad the stock has sold off a bit b/c it had come too far, too fast. I have cash to buy more when the selling stops.
