    Just curious...

    • It's working great for me. Punish the wealthy? All he is asking is for the very rich is to pay about 1.5% more in taxes. Everybody is going to have to pay a little more to get rid of the debt. The rich are so greedy though they don't give a rat's #$%$ about anything but themselves. Why should they? They have have their money hidden overseas like Romney. Stop drinking the Kool Aid and listening to big-mouth, blow-hard Rush. The Party of Old White Men lost. Four more years.

    • The day after election several oil service related companys in our area had lay offs. This isn't hearsay. I talked to several that got the ax or worked with those that did. This isn't an isolated thing just with the oil related group, I am hearing other industry groups are doing the same. Also My investments are going south. The Democrazy plan seems to be working as planed. $#@^%$ those that produce and squander on those that sit on there a*s*s

      • Just out of curiosity, since the Democrats have such an impact on jobs and stocks, did you give them credit when the market was near an all time high a couple months ago, And for the millions of jobs created since the depths of the Great Bush Recession?

Sure you did, ´cause you are fair and balanced kind of guy, right?

      • Obamaregs will kill economic productivity and these layoffs don't surprise me at all.

Capital will flee active business enterprise--especially small business.

Making more work for lawyers and enviro consultants to leach off the private sector at this time is sooooo stupid.

It's also inflationary as higher costs to do business needs to be recovered somehow.

Same as with higher taxes-- (think Fernandez de Kirchner in Argentina---very similar style of govt in my opinion)

And less business capacity because of govt policy means less supply so additional pressures on pricing later. (that's when we become more dependent on big multinationals for everything which is just what they want)

For a supposed constitutional lawyer (ha!), Obama's about the most economically illiterate I've ever come across.

The man is clueless as to how the business world works....except when it comes to pay for play, the Chicago way.

'Grease the palm' and 'fund his campaign for favors' are his strong suits.

just a totally immoral character and the truth slowly dawning on those that dare to read between the lines rather than swallow the MSM line of #$%$.

No way an incompetent duffus like him gets to where he is by being a moral character.

    • Here is one business owners take on that.

Denny's owner hands patrons bill for Obamacare
While some business owners threaten to cut workers' hours to avoid paying for their health care, a
West Palm Beach, Fla., restaurant owner is going even further. John Metz said he will add a 5 percent surcharge to customers' bills to offset what he said are the increased costs of Obamacare, along with reducing his employees' hours.

"If I leave the prices the same, but say on the menu that there is a 5 percent surcharge for Obamacare, customers have two choices. They can either pay it and tip 15 or 20 percent, or if they really feel so inclined, they can reduce the amount of tip they give to the server, who is the primary beneficiary of Obamacare," Metz told The Huffington Post. "Although it may sound terrible that I'm doing this, it's the only alternative. I've got to pass the cost on to the consumer."

There is no free breakfast lunch or dinner.

Well then..I'll answer myself...Obama's aim, (if you believe otherwise you have major issues) is to punish the wealthy...plain and simple. We are headed down a dark road in this country.

We deserve exactly what we get.

Unless you consider pulling tax rates up from the lowest point that they've been since the 40's as "punishing" the rich, then you are probably speaking without much backup. Please do some research on a couple of things- the tax rates (yes, they are the lowest that they've been since before you were born....assuming that you're not about 70) and the other thing you need to look at is that deficit. Finally, look at the growning disparity between the rich and the other classes and tell me how that's a good thing for the long term health of the country.

Taxing those making over 200000 a little more will help to solve a lot of problems, present and future ....and it should harm no one.
