Snapper5X, you must be pretty stupid. And you said, "He is lucky that the entire industry is in distress or what good people that are left would have bailed long ago !"
Obviously most of these changes are being made because of the economy, don't you see this?
All this whinning by all these employees. These moves are to keep us nimble in trying times. We are not alone, thankfully we can consolidate to cut costs, other companies with only one or two operations have or will be folding.
There is work out there but where are the sales? Get rid of all the corporate rebates and our prices will be able to get the work.
Where have all the sales managers gone? I see sales reps. sitting around waiting for the phones to ring and feeling sorry for themselves instead of pushing pushing pushing!
Hey a## breath that post makes good sense ! The real reason anyone is left is because times are not good . Once things turn, and they will, the good ones will be gone and only the unemployable will be left ! Cenveho is going down the tubes and there is no denying that fact . It would take a complete change of command to accomplish that which because of egos etc it will not happen .
webmagic... shouldn't you be running your web, instead of watching the sales reps (WHAT sales managers? They cost $$$) If the economy were decent Burton, and you, would already be in the toilet. Cenveo can barely pay the fucking phone bill- if they had a clue how to drum up business Burton might have got his $35 a share and been gone already.
Promise: go tell a Cenveo employee that their complaints consitute whining. You'll be given something to whine about... and I'm an ex-employee who got the hell out before it got this bad.
Cenveo is in the condition it is because they do not get it . They have no understanding how to manage commercial printing - the current economy is only a contributor to this mess . Yes the industry is horrible but it will come back and Cenveo does not have a chance.
The corporate structure is full of useless people - not only the sons - there are too many revolving doors with new people coming in and wanting to go another direction .
The corporate rebates are another issue that will sink the local plants - most pay more than the competition does ! So this great buying edge they talk about does not help bring in new work it is used to support Stamford!
