Weekly update of the Million-Dollar Mulligan ("Game #3")

    $277,655 - current valuation

$116,000 - valuation at 3/6/09 inception using midpoint value of options (valuation was 97K at 3/2 close)

    $161,655 profit from inception ($180,655 from 3/2)

$18.66 - current Pfizer stock price

$12.25 - stock price at 3/6/09 close after factoring in three 16-cent dividends for 16 cents each

$6.41 gain in stock price from inception ($7.48 from the 3/2 adjusted close of $11.18)

139.3% - percentage gains from inception for the Million-Dollar Mulligan (186.2% from 3/2)

52.3% - percentage gains for stock from inception as adjusted for dividends (66.8% from 3/2)

    56.6% - percentage gains for S & P 500 from 3/6 close (58.8% from 3/2)

This play is designed to return about three times what a buy-and-hold strategy with dividends would produce.

Keep looking at the top line as seven digits will be there by year-end 2012.

And you admit that your were totally oblivious to it happening, for months and months, at the time.

No dice for MRK and selling statins over-the-counter 13-Dec-07 05:01 pm

An FDA Advisory Committee just voted overwhelmingly against Mevacor being sold over the counter. This is the third time in six years that MRK has failed in its attempts to garner FDA approval.

This impending decision may have held Pfizer back today - expect better action tomorrow, the last session before Visine Day.

Anyone wanting to poop on me had better get it out of his system in the next two weeks because Visine Day is coming December 17 and you aren't going to be seeing any red in my investment after that.

As I have posted previously, I am dubbing December 17 as "Visine Day." It's where I finally get the red out - for good.

On the way to Visine Day 23-Jan-08 02:54 pm

Visine Day can't be far away now. Will it be here by Valentine's Day? Presidents' Day? March 5? St. Patrick's Day It's hard to say for sure but it's a heavy favorite to arrive before April Fool's Day.

After Visine Day arrives, how far can it be until I finally see the magic deuce as the first of six digits in the valuation? The "Elusive Deucive" will certainly be seen before Labor Day.

I wonder how many fools are now still bearish on The PFABULOUS Pfizer?

Re: How my 100K investment in Pfizer is faring 4-Apr-08 03:06 pm

Visine Day will very likely be soon after Q2-08 numbers are released the third week in July. These figures will be up against about the easiest year-ago comparisons imaginable. I'm expecting some big Pfizer Pfireworks right after those numbers come out.

Since the "Market" is nothing more than the sum of the actions of buyers and sellers, you are admitting you do not understand the Market.

    • I didn't realize at the time that market lemmings would be treating PFE as if it were C or BAC. It was only later that this ridiculous link became obvious.

At the time though, the market setback from the October all-time highs just seemed to be a little dip. Back then, Obama wasn't yet considered to be much of a threat and the Iowa caucuses were still weeks away. Back then, it looked like Hillary and Giuliani all the way and I expected it to end with President Giuliani.
