Obama is at around 61 cents in both electronic markets
He's at 60.9 cents on the Iowa Electronic Market and 61.1 on Intrade. Just before the GOP convention began, he was at 59.5 in Iowa and 57.6 on Intrade. This election won't be a landslide but Obama figures to win with between 51 and 52% of the popular vote and between 277 and 332 electoral votes depending upon how the four true tossup states with 55 aggregate electoral votes (Florida, Virginia, Colorado and New Hampshire) break.
Speculators on the Iowa Electronic Market currently see the popular vote as a 52.5% to 47.5% breakdown between the two major candidates. I see about 0.5% to 1.0% less for Obama and more for Romney. But as grim as things are for Romney in the popular vote, they are far grimmer in the all-important electoral college.
