Quite a surge today by Obama in the electronic wagering markets
On the Iowa Electronic Market, he gained 2.7 cents from yesterday's 63.6 cents to tonight's midnight close of 66.3. Over at InTrade, the gain was three full cents - from yesterday's 62.8 cents to the current 65.8 cents.
Tonight's close on the Iowa Electronic Market is a two-week high and takes Obama back to the 65.0 cent to 67.5-cent range that he had in the direct aftermath of the second debate.
New York Times numbers maven Nate Silver has Obama ahead by 2.6% in the all-important state of Ohio. He gives Obama a 79% chance of carrying the Buckeye state. Silver has Obama leading by at least 2.5% in the seven battleground states where Obama leads. Silver shows Romney leading by 2.7% in North Carolina and by a scant 0.7% in Florida. In Colorado, Silver has Obama by 1.0% and it's Obama by 0.7% in Virginia. .
