I own PFE shares....
Why doesn't the company let the shareholders know beforehand
if they are going to get shatres of Zoetis ?

  You get nothing and like it. ZTS ipo will take a year or more to make PFE bottom line. My advice is dump come back in Oct. Or box until then. What you make in divident you pay the same on the short shares. Basically a break even for however you need it.

  I don't think you'll get anything here. It's an IPO, not a spin-off. You may share in the good fortune that comes to Pfizer if they use the proceeds of the IPO wisely to grow PFE. This looks alot like what McDonalds did when they IPO'd Chipotle: the MCD shareholders got zip and CMG went thru the roof. Of course, if you're PFE management, you may get in on the IPO but if you're just mom & pop shareholder, you're out in the cold.
