That is what a company that cares for it's shareholders would do. I had this stock for 15 years and paid around 33. If not for the dividend I would have sold my shares. Our only hope is that the profits from Zoetis will allow Pfizer to expand and increase their profits. I hope that after all these years that this stock will finally start to take off.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The market value of ZTS per share has already surpassed the market value of PFE per share. What a slap in the face to all loyal PFE common shareholders. Agreed the loyal PFE common shareholders should be getting ZTS shares in a spinoff.
I just hope this new CEO does the right thing. It's been nothing but a disappointment over the last 10 years.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
there is hope, remember pfe sold only 20% of zoetis, the rest may be spun off to pfe shareholders over time. lets hope !!!
I was a stockholder in McDonald's back in 2006 when they helped develop and market Chipotle Mexican Grill. We all hoped to get shares in the new company in a spin-off too. Instead, MCD did an IPO of Chipotle which opened at $22 and steadily rose over the years to a high of $440. MCD over the same period rose from +/- $35 to $102 before settling back to arround $90. I would rather have had some shares of CMG than any trickle-down value that came to MCD. Now, it looks like PFE is going to freeze out their shareholders too. You're right, Blondie. This is not how a company that cares about its shareholders acts.
Sentiment: Sell
PFE just showed us what they think of shareholders. Vote Board Out.
Amazin... I am in exact position as u. 900 shares at $33.67. just holding on because of "big cap" and divi which was cut big time anyway. glta
