Prevnar has potential to be world's best selling drug... what's with the drop in share price?
Don't understand the dip in stock price considering that Prevnar, already a huge success, has the potential to become the best selling drug in the world, conceivably outperforming lipitor. That drug, and others in the pipeline, make PFE a strong buy... what gives?
Agree with you. The drop is an expected reaction to the miss, if only by a penny, of the analyst forcast of income and also the conservative guidance given (better to underpromise and overdeliver...). Don't worry, dip will only be temporary with strong buy back by savy investors.
Anyone with a true appreciation for the Pfizer pipeline and the drugs it currently has on the market WOULD NOT be selling their shares. Thank goodness for the less sophisticated pharmaceutical investor - it just provides those in the know with the opportunity to purchase additional shares at a bargain price.
