Pfizer Inc. Message Board

I will increase the value of this portfolio by 1/8 in six months or I will leave the board forever

What an audacious proposition on my part. I either average over 2% a month for the next six months or I will immediately leave this board - never to return. What better way to prove to my remaining skeptics, detractors and enemies that I am truly the real deal and that my Eureka moment of two years ago was absolutely world class?
I will commence this Challenge with 50K in cash and I will have five naked put investments which will utilize about 10 grand each. Using Friday's closing bid and asked prices, here is what this portfolio will consist of:
    1) JCP ($16.49) - 100 contracts of the Feb. 8's. With a bid of $16 and ask of $19, net proceeds at the bid amount to $1,540 with margin utilization of $9,900.
    2) PBR ($14.46) - 80 contracts of the Jan. 10's. With a bid of $18 and ask of $21, net proceeds at the bid are $1,390 with margin utilization being $9,680.
    3) KORS ($64.83) - 18 contracts of the Feb. 45's. With a bid of $110 and ask of $125, net proceeds at the bid would be $1,970 with margin utilization of $10,300.
    4) HPQ ($25.99) - 52 contracts of the Feb. 16's. With a bid of $30 and ask of $31, net proceeds at the bid would amount to $1,530 on margin utilization of $9,930.
    5) AIG ($46.54) - 25 contracts of the Jan. 35's. With a bid of $54 and ask of $57, net proceeds at the bid would be $1,335 with margin utilization of $10,175.
The five investments will add $7,715 in cash to the account with aggregate margin utilization of $49,990. In order to be able to remain on this board after 26 weeks, I must wind up with profits of at least $6,250.
I fully expect to accomplish this easily and moreover to be able to dco it even if the market corrects. It would take a real market collapse to thwart me. There will be absolutely no Force Majeures or Mulligans, etc. I either demonstrate 12.5% or more in profits in six months or I'm history on this board.
By the way, I absolutely do NOT want to leave. I'm having way too much fun showing how well I perform.

      • were you here for this one:

        $29 by 12/31/08 and $31 by 1/31/09 or I leave 30-Nov-07 10:46 am

I said categorically that there are NO excuses and no force majeure. Pfizer sees $29 by year-end 2008 or I'm gone with the exception of twice-weekly valuation updates. I also must see $31 by 1/31/09 or I'm also gone.

I told folks to get maniacal on Pfizer when it was at $24.29 and I must be able to see folks that took my advice triple their money by the end of 2008 in order for me to remain on this board.

Range theory tells me that Pfizer cannot be prevented from busting through $29 resistance before 2008 is out. I'm putting my money, my credibility and my ability to continue posting here on that assertion. Yes - I am that positive that I'm willing to risk having to leave the board - and without really getting much out of this self-imposed wager either.

Make no mistake about it - 2008 is the year that Pfizer shakes loose and makes small fortunes for properly- leveraged investors.
