    LUV is adding employees....

    I read that the SW headcount has actually increased lately. Southwest is actually HIRING people in this climate. Someone tell me I'm wrong...PLEASE....

      If you read that you must have noticed that the article mentions a YOY increase of around 4%, starting from Feb 08--not last month. Since SWA employee/acft is only 66 and one of the lowest in the industry, I don't see this as some critical problem. USAIR, for instance, has 32,245 emplyees/ 347 mainline aircraft.....or about 93 employees/acft. Southwest is fine in this regard IMO, and there are problems with having too few employees as well to consider.
