    Key West, Fl

Interesting that LUV is moving into Key West, FL. Pan Am flew the first international flight from Key West to Havana. Maybe LUV knows something the rest of us do not. One can only hope so.
Flying to NOLA to connect to the LUV system is great but better might be Key West - Houston or Key West Dallas.
While happy forp Key West, I still feel a better move would have been Homestead to avoid Miami airport traffic or Miami itself if willing to go into a major American airlines hub.
I go to Key West several times a year - live in West Palm Beach - figure 5 -6 hours driving each way not due to distance but traffic through Miami and the 2 lane highway through the Keys. LUV may be missing out on a great market from Palm Beach and/or Fort Lauderdale to Key West and Ft. Myers-Key West. Many people would definitely fly on the weekend - Fri/Sun round trip.

    • agree, i have to fly american from mia, the WORST, and now that usair will be buying them out, service and attitude can only get worse..........

    • Also, if Havana did open up - I remember as a kid in the 1950's flying to Cuba to go grocery shopping as it was cheaper and better quality than in the States.

That market - Florida-Cuba would be tremendous. Especially out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach etc. I still think LUVshould make a move into Miami - either Miami itself or Homestead, Fl as an alternativet o Miami.
