Have You Contacted Investor Relations? Ask about selling non-US assets, new CEO search, Chairman allowing break-up
It might be worth giving investor relations a call to find out if the company is looking at selling non-US assets, how their new CEO search is going (who the candidates are), if management compensation will change, and if it's possible to sell-off non-US assets before the Chairman retires. How close are they to getting California to allow more drilling, like for shale? Also, who will new Chairman likely be. Are there any new activist investors who can shake it up?
Unfortunately, I didn't put in stops and I didn't get out when it was around 88.00, so I'm stuck until it comes back up around that level--just to break even. It will be a long time coming, so sit tight. I'd like to be wrong about that though. The up cycles are not that frequent. There are lots of good plays out there rather than waiting as an Oxy holder.
