    • I thnk up pre markt on APA news. APA selling 30% of Egyptian asset to Sinopec (Chinese) for $6 bilion APA up 9% n the news on Friday. I am expecting similar news from OXY soon.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Sooner or later the big jump will herald the news of a definitive strategy to increase share value. OXY is a solid company with or without the selling off assets. I support the idea of becoming a US centered company given the unrest in the world. I would think China would welcome an opportunity to buy OXY assets in Africa, Middle East etc. as to date, China is not a target for the people who live in these areas. Be patient my friend for an announcement grows more imminent with each passing week. Come Friday you should collect your dividend and if the price does not move above $ 92.00 buy some more shares. As far as I know the low end of the PPS after the announcement is still $105 and change so at $92.00 there is a lot of room for profit.

      • Good analysis. I bought more when it was recently down to the 86's. They have so many options that this will take some time; however, they should have a good start. Obviously they do not want to tip their hand to others in the industry. Like you, I would like to be left with a US centered stock. Also, possible MLP for midstream, which would allow them to control the marketing operation and sell some units in a IPO. They could also use that as a vehicle for funding down the road.
